Hi guys
Printers or other peripheral devices commonly used to connect to a computer need to install a driver (device driver) to work. Instructions on how to install drivers and share printers in the LAN (intranet).
The printer when purchased usually comes with a driver disc and tools for that printer, many current HP printers have 1 built-in memory available and save the driver in the printer, so each time you reinstall the computer. then you just need to go to the D or E drive depending on the machine, including the HP logo, click on it to install the driver. But many machines do not have a built-in driver or lose the driver disc, you have to go to the homepage to download. To install the driver, you need to do the following steps:
+ Step 1: Look at the printer to know what the model of the machine is.
+ Step 2: Type the device name into the google tool or go directly to the homepage to download.
+ Step 3: After typing the printer name, here I am for example HP Laser Jet Pro M1132 printer. You choose what operating system you are using, 32-bit or 64-bit operating system and download it as shown below.
+ Step 4: After downloading the driver, click run. Please pay attention to connect the cable to the computer and open the printer to install it.
So now you can use the printer, but if the company has many computers and only 1 printer so that others can use the printer, it needs to be shared so that everyone can use it. use.
To share a printer, follow these steps: Requires a LAN connection, the same group (WORKGROUP), and the printer sharing machine must be open.
+Step 1: Go to Start (windows logo) -> Printers and Faxes -> Right-click the printer and select the line “Sharing”.
+ Step 2: A new window will appear, click the checkmark on the item “share this printer” Then click OK. Look at the printer with a hand image, or a picture of two people, the printer has been shared successfully.
+ Step 3: After your machine has shared the printer, so that other machines can connect the printer, you need to see what your machine’s name is for people to connect. Right-click My computer -> Properties -> click on the computer name tab to see the machine name. For example, in the picture below, the machine name is maytinhvn and the workgroup is WORKGROUP. Must be in the same workgroup to share.
+ Step 4: On the machine that needs to be connected to the printer (for example, your machine named Hoa is connecting the printer, Mr. Hoang wants to share your printer, you must go to Mr. Hoang’s machine to connect). You click on the button Start -> Run -> Type the command //maytinhvn. A window will appear and right-click the printer and click connect. Guys, look at the picture above, I put it together into 1 picture
If you can’t do it, go to Printers and Faxes, look at the top left corner with the words add a printer and just click next. But this way is a bit troublesome if your LAN has many computers and printers, so it is difficult to find. Hopefully the article on how to install the driver and share the printer will help those who do not know how to use it. This article was done in win Xp with win 7 and win 8 as well. Close!
