Error machine USB device over current status detected

Perhaps you have also encountered a case when booting the mainboard to the dos screen. Error message USB device over current status detected! System will shut down after  15 seconds. This message is like detecting a problem with the USB device and the machine will shut down after 15 seconds.

This is an exclusive disease found only on ASUS motherboards. And we also can’t enter the bios or use the keyboard and just click the power for the main to run, the machine will notify and then will turn off. This disease has 3 causes, and I have successfully corrected it almost 100%.

+ The first cause: This cause most of the disease is caused by some reason that lost the jumper (bridge 2 pins together, like a fuse), maybe because you removed it and forgot to attach it. enter, or hold the main to drop the jump. Just attach the jumper and that’s it. On the mainboard, there is usually a 3-pin jack to connect the jump, usually connecting pins 1 and 2 together, I use a 5v power source (ie, start the machine up to use the USB port). Connecting pins 2 to 3, using 5STB power (standby power) means that when plugged in and not started, the USB port already has 5V power, people do it for the purpose of charging phones, charging for iphone, ipad …You can attach any foot, depending on the purpose of use.

On the ASUS mainboard, there are usually 2 places to attach this jump, which is near the male chip, and behind the USB port. You see the picture below is the jump on the main G41 P5QPL -AM.

+ The second cause: Because the machine has a bios error, it also reports the error usb device over current status detected! . You remove the CMOS battery for about 15 seconds and then reattach it, or remove the clear cmos jumper and attach it to another location and then reattach it to the old position, if you don’t reattach it, the power will not work. For example, jump clear cmos is connecting pins 1,2. You remove and attach to position 2,3 then reattach to position 1, 2 as original. The purpose of clearing cmos is to return the bios to its original state. If not, remove the bios and put it in the charger to recharge the bios.

+ The 3rd cause: This cause is more common than the 2nd cause, but I still have to rank the 2nd cause first because I need to do it from easy to difficult to avoid the case of pan birth. This is caused by an open chip male or a faulty male chip. If you encounter this cause, you need to use a chipset steamer or infrared light like me to re-steam.
